Great sandwiches & fast service. However do not order through online services! They seem to only do things old school like take food orders over the phone or in person! DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! You may not get your order in time, or receive the right order! I ordered a hot pastrami sandwiches on Italian bread and they gave me a BLT on Sourdough. I didn't want to go back now after walking through that big thunder and hail storm we have today!

My coworker for lunch wanted to show me a spot not too far from the office, we whizzed down the lift and were at the 12 and Broadway Bart station plaza (a.k.a: city center plaza) and went over to this cute little deli. . It's in a prime location at a hub Bart station and downtown Oakland area. As you enter, you give your order to the cashier. The cashier was very friendly and quick to take our order. My coworker highly recommended the Turkey Pesto Melt for their sandwiches, so I figured I would give it a shot. The sandwich can come off as a bit sweet but also very savory. They also offer salads and wraps here as well if you're trying to stay away from breads. Overall; for the price, the service and food was good. I'll come back for another round!

Great service, super friendly staff and delicious sandwiches! My favorite sandwiches are their tuna, super duper caprese, & super avocado BLT

This is my first time eating here so I decided to get a turkey pesto melt, but wanted it on a low carb wrap. Unfortunately, the cashier didn't understand me and continued to ask me what kind of bread I wanted; she named the different types so I settled for whole wheat. Overall, the sandwich was tasty, but on the sweeter side.. not particularly crazy about it being sweet. I may come back and try other sandwiches and try to get it on a low carb wrap.

3.5 stars, giving North Beach Deli an extra bump because it's so reasonably priced for being in the heart of Downtown Oakland. I went to visit my boyfriend at his workplace, and we went out for lunch. Simple, casual date. I ordered the Las Vegas Reuben at the counter, and we waited in the back. There's lots of standing room and not many seats. Probably by design. It's best to take your food and eat on a bench outside, or back at your desk. Maybe you'll be lucky and score a table here! The sandwiches took awhile to prepare, but it was pretty worthwhile. $8.50 for an 8" sandwich was awesome, since that's about how much I can eat for lunch anyways. There are options for chips and drinks. I like how comprehensive the menu specials are, for those who want to be regulars and have multiple options. Great grab-and-go spot for those who need to eat and get back to work quickly. I'm sure there are many other options in the plaza, but personally I'll take this over Panda Express any day!

Taking over the previous spot of Fresh Fuel, North Beach Deli has a wide variety of hot/cold sandwhiches, wraps and salads. Got the 8" roast beef on sourdough for $7.50 total and It's a good value and tasted good. Since Quiznos left the center and not many other sandwhich places nearby, it's a good option. Workers are friendly and efficient. It's more of a take out spot with only 1 table for 2 and a few chairs along the window.
